The College of Policing was officially launched last month and is the first national body to focus solely on strengthening professionalism in the service. College CEO Alex Marshall has appointed a team to design the College ‘blueprint’ by 30 June 2013 and is keen that everyone involved in or with policing has a chance to get involved in its detailed design. To contribute your views to the design of the College, please click here to complete a survey, which should only take 5 or 10 minutes to do. The survey will be available until 5pm on Friday 12 April 2013.
At events with police forces so far, the design team has already received feedback including questions about how the College will be funded, how it will ascertain what is ‘best’ when building the evidence base for policing, and whether it should be involved in the licensing and accreditation of training. As the College blueprint begins to take shape, more opportunities to contribute your views will be made available via the College website and POLKA. You can also send comments and ideas to the blueprint design team directly by clicking here to email them.
