This last year has seen a continuation of the changing landscape in policing that has pervaded over recent years, particularly in relation to the further development of the College of Policing.
The President, Irene Curtis said:
“These changes have impacted upon the Association in a number of different ways, but I believe we have risen to the challenge on each and every occasion and have been able to maintain our focus on supporting our membership whilst continuing to influence and shape policing at many levels.”
She went on to say:
“As we move through what will, no doubt, continue to be demanding and challenging times ahead for the Police Service – particularly in the approach to the next General Election – you have my assurance that I, and the other National Officers, will continue to represent the views of all members of the Association in a robust, but constructive manner and to the very best of our ability. We will do this, not only in the interests of our members, but in the interests of the wider police service and the public whom we are privileged to serve.”
