I am deeply saddened that a police officer has died following the incident in Westminster today.
On behalf of my Association, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the officer’s family and loved ones.
Our thoughts are also with the officer’s colleagues at this incredibly difficult time.
Policing is a family, and everyone in our family will feel this loss deeply.
I also extend my immense gratitude to all the officers who have been involved in today’s incident, and to those who are now protecting the public across London and the UK.
Your bravery and dedication are appreciated by all tonight and I am proud to call you my colleagues.
Our thoughts are also with the families of the other victims of this horrific incident, and those who have been injured including other members of the police family.
