Close Brothers have been providing financial education, advice and investment management services to members of the Police Superintendents’ Association for over 20 years.

Our retirement events are provided to Association members free of charge and are held from 09:30 to 16:30 in London - refreshments, lunch and reference materials are provided and your spouse/partner is also very welcome to attend.

Forthcoming 2023 dates are:

We recommend that members attend when they have approximately 25 years police service to allow sufficient time to plan their retirement from the Police Service, and to assess the effects of the current pension tax charges on future pension benefits, caused by the reduction in the Lifetime Allowance.

Our events cover a wide range of topics including:

•             When is the best time to retire?
•             Working, earning and tax!
•             Salary -v- Pension
•             2015 Pension Reforms – applicable to your ‘next phase of life’
•             Financial security and how to improve your position in the years ahead
•             Life after the Force
•             Estate planning and wills
•             Understanding personal taxes and planning opportunities
Capital may be at risk. Tax benefits depend on individual circumstances and tax rules may change.
